Work From Home Supporting Nonprofit Fundraising Campaigns
About the position This remote 1099 independent-contractor opportunity supports established nonprofit fundraising campaigns. Contractors answer strictly inbound calls from donors who have voluntarily responded to an existing campaign, document donor information, and accurately process intended donations or pledges. The work does not involve cold calling, outbound dialing, prospecting, door-to-door solicitation, direct solicitation, or product sales. Contractors follow campaign-approved scripts and procedures, protect confidential information, and meet applicable compliance and quality requirements. Certification is required before servicing, but does not guarantee campaign placement. Contractors select from available servicing intervals and must honor the intervals they accept. Campaigns, available hours, and continued access may depend on demand, attendance, professionalism, quality, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist inbound donors.
- Follow campaign-approved scripts.
- Accurately enter donation and pledge details.
- Confirm important donor information.
- Answer appropriate process-related questions.
- Navigate multiple applications during calls.
- Protect confidential information.
- Follow compliance and quality requirements.
- Maintain dependable attendance during accepted servicing intervals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least six months of remote customer-service experience or at least one year of onsite customer-service experience.
- Professional and welcoming phone presence.
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
- Accurate typing and data-entry abilities.
- Comfort following scripts and structured processes.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Dedicated, quiet home workspace.
- Windows 11 computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM.
- Noise-canceling USB headset.
- Wired high-speed internet with a direct Ethernet connection.
- MacBooks, Chromebooks, tablets, and Wi-Fi-only connections are not compatible.
Nice-to-haves
- 16GB RAM is recommended.
- Dual monitors are recommended for ease of navigation.
