Workday Payroll Consultant

Key Responsibilities: Implementation & Configuration: Lead or assist in end-to-end Workday Payroll implementations, system enhancements, annual updates, and maintenance. Process Optimization: Configure Workday Payroll components including pay groups, earning/deduction codes, accumulators, bank setups, and calculation rules. Integrations & Banking: Collaborate with technical teams to build, test, and maintain integrations between Workday Payroll, benefit providers, time-tracking systems, and banking networks (ACH, direct deposit, positive pay). Compliance & Tax Setup: Support tax configurations, year-end payroll processing (W-2, 1099, tax filings), and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop test scenarios, write test scripts, execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and troubleshoot payroll processing issues prior to go-live. Reporting & Analytics: Build custom Workday reports, calculated fields, and dashboards to support payroll auditing, financial reconciliation, and management reporting. Stakeholder Support: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to resolve complex payroll tickets, provide post-implementation support, and train end-users.
