AB Initio Developer

Roles and Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio. Develop and enhance Ab Initio graphs, plans, and reusable components using the Graphical Development Environment (GDE). Build scalable data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for enterprise data platforms. Work with source and target systems to implement data integration and migration solutions. Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and transformation. Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for job execution and automation. Troubleshoot ETL failures, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve production issues. Optimize Ab Initio graphs and workflows to improve performance and processing efficiency. Work with relational databases such as Oracle, Teradata, DB2, or SQL Server. Participate in unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities. Support production batch processing, job monitoring, and incident resolution. Prepare technical documentation, data mappings, and ETL design specifications. Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, QA teams, and other developers.
