Job Title: Application Lead Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months + Extension Bill Rate: $79/hour on C2c Job Type: C2C/1099 Client: To Be Discussed Later Work Authorization: US-Citizen, H-1B, OPT-EAD, GC-EAD Job Description: The ideal candidate should be a technical manager/lead with 8 10 years of experience who can combine hands-on technical leadership with delivery oversight. Experience in performance testing/engineering, delivery management, and client/stakeholder engagement would be a strong advantage. The key focus should be on service virtualization and Java/API engineering, rather than a profile primarily focused on QA/test leadership. We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Delivery Lead with deep expertise in Service Virtualization (SmartBear ReadyAPI, WireMock) and Java-based API Development to lead complex application modernization, integration, testing, and delivery initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical leadership with delivery oversight, stakeholder management, and client engagement capabilities to drive end-to-end solution delivery across enterprise programs. The role requires hands-on expertise in service virtualization, API engineering, performance testing, and technical project execution while managing distributed teams and collaborating closely with business and technology stakeholders. Service Virtualization Leadership Design, develop, and maintain service virtualization solutions using SmartBear ReadyAPI, WireMock. Virtualize REST/SOAP APIs and dependent downstream services to enable parallel development, integration testing, and earlier defect identification. Define reusable virtualization patterns, standards, test data strategies, and governance practices. Java & API Engineering Provide technical leadership for the design, development, integration, and troubleshooting of Java-based REST APIs and microservices. Perform technical reviews, guide engineering teams on API design and error handling, and support root-cause analysis of complex integration issues. Ensure solutions adhere to established architecture, security, scalability, and engineering standards. Technical Project Management Own technical execution and coordinate across application development, architecture, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, and business teams. Proactively identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and critical dependencies and drive them to closure. Technical Leadership & Problem Solving Act as the technical escalation point for complex application, API, virtualization, environment, and integration issues. Stakeholder & Client Engagement Engage effectively with client technology leaders, product owners, architects, engineering leads, and delivery stakeholders. Provide concise status reporting covering progress, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation actions. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve API engineering, service virtualization, testing automation, performance engineering, CI/CD integration, and overall delivery efficiency.
