Location: Remote Experience: 5+ years Compensation: Up to $220,000 base Position Overview A well-established insurance defense law firm is seeking experienced Associate Attorneys to join its growing team in California.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Conduct and defend depositions and represent clients in court proceedings.
- Develop litigation strategies and manage case files, deadlines, and discovery.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
- Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial as needed.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar license in good standing.
- At least 2 years of insurance defense or relevant litigation experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and case management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet annual billable-hour requirements.
- Must be located within reasonable distance of San Francisco or Walnut Creek.
- Trial experience is highly preferred.
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 – $220,000 Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
