SummaryCore Responsibilities:Buyer & Material ManagementRole Description - The Blade Remanufacturing Site Material Leader will have day to day responsibility to plan, purchase, supply and maintain inventory of the required GE material in support of the GEV blade remanufacturing (WDI) and blade repairs occurring at the Takkion laydown yards in Pawnee and Garden City, KS.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Order, track, receive and maintain inventory of remanufacturing parts to support the on-time blade repairs and remanufacturing.Confirm material procurement ownership of repair material between GE and contracted repair teamWork closely with GE site leader to achieve remanufacturing factory production plansAssist GE site leader in repair team's adherence to Safety / GE Life Saving Rules.Create and publish weekly part LOB'sDaily interface with repair teams to confirm availability of needed GE partsQualifications / RequirementsAssociates or Bachelor's degree in business, manufacturing, project management, engineering or equivalentMinimum 2-3 years experience in sourcing, manufacturing, project management and/or supply chainDesired CharacteristicsGood understanding of the Renewables Onshore businessStrong data management skills (Excel, etc.)Ability to manage teamsStrong communication and influencing skillsAble to work effectively across cross-functional teamsAbility to work independently to achieve targets and objectivesSelf-motivated, driven to take action and define next stepsAbility to see around corners and be proactiveStrong background in the materials planning processAbility to think Critically (look at outside the box solutions)Ability to adapt to changeDetail-oriented, organized, and flexibleStrong oral and written communication skillsHighly-motivated, results/metrics driven with demonstrated influencing skillsUnderstanding of supplier contractsAbility to identify and implement processes improvements and best practicesPay Transparency:For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the base pay for this position is $30.00 USD per hour.Additional InformationGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
