Remote Position

Business Development & Strategy Intern

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

[READ ALL] About Helix Helix is building the intelligence terminal for biopharma capital markets. Our flagship product, the Helix Terminal, helps healthcare hedge funds, pharma business development teams, advisory firms, and government and defense organizations track therapeutic pipelines, test investment theses, and forecast regulatory and payer decisions, all in a single AI-native platform. We’re at an early, high-leverage stage: validating demand, securing our first design partners and pilots, and building the go-to-market foundation for an institutional-grade product. The role As our first Business Development & Strategy Intern, you’ll help Helix find and win its earliest clients. You’ll map our target markets, identify the people who make buying decisions, and turn that research into a pipeline of qualified design partners and pilot opportunities. You’ll work directly with the CEO, and your work will shape how Helix reaches, prioritizes, and wins its first institutional clients. What you’ll do Build and segment a target list of prospective clients across healthcare hedge funds, pharma business development and competitive intelligence teams, advisory and consulting firms, and government and defense organizations. Identify key buyers and decision-makers at target firms (portfolio managers, analysts, BD leads, research heads, procurement contacts) and find warm paths to reach them. Analyze each segment’s dynamics: how firms are structured, who influences purchasing, what tools they use today, how they budget for research, and what would make them switch. Prioritize leads by fit and likelihood to pilot, and maintain a clean, organized pipeline. Support demand validation by preparing for customer discovery calls, synthesizing what prospects say, and tracking patterns in their needs and objections. Draft and test outreach messaging, track what works, and refine it based on results. Contribute research and recommendations that inform Helix’s sales, marketing, and growth strategy.
