Remote Position

Business Manager

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

Agency Information: The Kansas State 911 Board ensures that every 911 call made in Kansas reaches trained professionals over a modern, reliable network. We oversee the statewide Next Generation 911 (NG911) system—an advanced, secure network that routes emergency calls using precise geographic data instead of traditional phone lines. Our work connects more than a hundred Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) across Kansas so that help can be dispatched quickly, accurately, and efficiently. The Board was created by the Kansas Legislature through HB 2690, effective July 1, 2025, replacing the former Kansas 911 Coordinating Council. As a state agency, the Board continues the Council’s strong foundation of collaboration, technology governance, financial stewardship, and statewide planning for future 911 services. We serve Kansas residents, visitors, and emergency responders by managing 911 fee revenues, maintaining statewide technical standards, and supporting local PSAPs with training, data, and guidance. Whether someone dials 911 from a busy city street or a rural road, the State 911 Board’s goal is the same – to make sure the call goes through and help arrives.
