Capabilities and Innovation Intern

Employment: Internship Department: Engineering Research & Development Start Date: Summer Job Description: We are seeking a motivated Capabilities and Innovation Intern to support our Lifecycle Services (LCS) team in engineering research, controls, and automation. This internship offers hands-on experience in scripting, engineering data management, asset tracking, and industrial system configuration while developing technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: Assist with scripting and automation tasks, including data handling using tools such as Quickbase and Asset 360. Develop, maintain, and improve scripts for Bill of Materials (BOM) generation and asset tracking. Provide engineering support for ongoing projects and operational activities. Assist with setting up environments and validating configurations for industrial data center test beds. Update technical documentation, onboarding guides, and training materials. Enter, review, and validate BOMs and asset records to ensure data accuracy. Collaborate with engineering teams and other stakeholders to support project objectives. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and engineering processes. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Familiarity with scripting, data management, automation tools, or engineering documentation is an advantage. Compensation: The compensation for this role is 22–32 per hour.
