Chief Accounting Officer (CAO)Amvion Labs Pvt Ltd United States · Remote Full-time · Executive About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to oversee corporate accounting operations, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal financial controls. The ideal candidate will bring extensive accounting leadership experience, strong financial management expertise, and a proven ability to establish effective accounting systems, ensure financial accuracy, and support long-term business growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement corporate accounting policies and financial reporting procedures. Oversee daily accounting operations, financial statements, and general ledger management. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable financial reporting regulations. Lead financial audits, internal control assessments, and regulatory reporting activities. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes. Establish accounting performance standards and improve financial reporting accuracy. Collaborate with executive leadership, finance, operations, and compliance teams. Identify financial reporting risks and implement appropriate internal controls. Oversee accounting systems, financial process improvements, and automation initiatives. Support financial planning, budgeting, and organizational growth strategies. Recruit, mentor, and lead accounting and financial reporting teams. Provide executive leadership with financial reports, accounting insights, and strategic recommendations. Background and ExperienceAt least 15 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, corporate finance, or related fields. Previous senior leadership experience as a Chief Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller, Vice President of Accounting, or comparable executive. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting standards, auditing, and internal controls. Proven experience overseeing complex accounting operations and financial compliance. Experience managing financial audits, accounting systems, and reporting processes. Strong understanding of corporate governance, financial risk management, and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and strategic decision-making skills. Ability to manage geographically distributed accounting teams in a remote environment. Experience within technology, financial services, or growing organizations is preferred. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA certification is strongly preferred; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
