Chief Digital Financial Officer

Role Description The Chief Digital Financial Officer is responsible for leading the digital transformation of financial operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial management across the organization. This full-time remote role oversees financial planning and analysis, digital financial reporting, and the integration of financial data with management systems and consulting projects. Day-to-day tasks include managing financial statements, developing and monitoring budgets, optimizing cash flow, and designing digital dashboards and reporting tools that support strategic decision-making. The role collaborates closely with consulting, engineering, and environmental teams to align financial performance with project delivery, regulatory requirements, and long-term business objectives. The Chief Digital Financial Officer also evaluates and implements financial technologies, establishes controls, and provides clear communication of financial insights to leadership and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Statements skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Candidates should possess solid Financial Reporting and Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess performance, and support strategic decisions. Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills for presenting complex financial information to technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with digital finance tools (ERP systems, BI dashboards, cloud-based accounting platforms) and process automation is highly beneficial. Proven experience in senior finance leadership, ideally in consulting, engineering, industrial, or environmental services sectors. Knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and standards-based environments (e.g., ISO frameworks) is an advantage. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across different locations.
