Role Description The Chief Financial Officer Operations is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing Kolomoni’s financial strategy, performance, and operational controls. This role leads the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, robust budgeting and forecasting, and strong liquidity and capital management. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, monitoring key performance indicators, optimizing cost structures, and aligning financial plans with organizational growth objectives. The CFO Operations collaborates closely with executive leadership, operations, compliance, and technology teams to support regulatory adherence, risk management, and sustainable profitability. The role also involves improving financial processes, implementing internal controls, guiding investment decisions, and mentoring finance team members.
Qualifications
Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy. Proficiency in financial statements and financial reporting, with the ability to interpret, prepare, and present complex financial information to stakeholders. Advanced analytical skills, with proven capability to analyze data, identify trends, assess risks, and support data-driven decision-making. Extensive experience in financial management within financial services, microfinance, banking, or fintech environments. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to financial institutions, ideally within The Gambia or West African region. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement at executive level. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance colleagues. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CFA, CPA) are an advantage. Comfort working in a remote, technology-driven environment, with proficiency in modern financial and reporting tools.
