Chief Operating Officer of a property fund

Role Description The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the property fund is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across the fund’s portfolio and supporting strategic growth initiatives. The COO will manage operational processes, coordinate with investment, development, and property management teams, and ensure that business plans are executed effectively. Key responsibilities include designing and refining operational frameworks, monitoring fund performance, overseeing budgeting and financial controls, and implementing risk management and compliance procedures. The role involves regular analysis of asset performance, preparation of operational reports for leadership and investors, and collaboration on deal evaluation and pipeline management. The COO will also lead cross-functional projects to improve efficiency, support technology and data initiatives, and contribute to long-term strategic planning for the property fund.

Qualifications

Strong Business Planning and Operations Management skills, including experience designing and executing operational strategies for investment or real estate-focused organizations. Advanced Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data, assess risk, and support decision-making for property and fund performance. Solid Finance and Budgeting capabilities, including experience with financial modeling, cost control, cash flow management, and reporting for funds or portfolios. Proven leadership and people management experience, with the ability to collaborate across teams and guide initiatives in a remote environment. Background in real estate, property funds, private equity, or asset management is highly beneficial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders and investors.
