About the Role
Granite Investment Partners is seeking an experienced Chief Strategy Officer to help guide business strategy, identify growth opportunities, and support long term organizational development. The ideal candidate brings extensive leadership experience, sound business judgment, and the ability to turn strategic priorities into practical plans. This role involves working closely with executive leadership to evaluate business performance, strengthen operational alignment, and support the company's future direction.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic plans that support the company's long term business objectives. Work closely with executive leadership to establish priorities and evaluate growth opportunities. Analyze market trends, industry developments, and competitive positioning. Identify potential partnerships, business opportunities, and areas for expansion. Lead strategic planning initiatives across departments and business functions. Evaluate organizational performance and recommend improvements. Support business development, corporate planning, and investment related strategic initiatives. Establish measurable strategic goals and monitor progress. Assess business risks and develop practical recommendations. Present strategic findings and recommendations to senior leadership. Support organizational changes and initiatives that improve long term performance. Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in strategic planning, business leadership, corporate development, or related management roles. Extensive experience working with senior executives and leading major business initiatives. Strong understanding of corporate strategy, organizational planning, and business operations. Proven ability to identify growth opportunities and execute complex strategic initiatives. Experience managing cross functional teams and supporting organizational change. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and decision making skills. Ability to balance long term strategic priorities with immediate business needs. Comfortable working independently and collaborating with leadership in a remote environment. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field preferred
