Civil Litigation Attorney

Associate Attorney – Defense Litigation Remote in Arizona Position Overview A nationally recognized litigation practice is seeking an Associate Attorney to handle complex defense litigation, with a focus on construction litigation and general liability. This remote opportunity offers hands-on experience working alongside experienced trial attorneys on high-exposure matters involving insurance coverage, premises liability, product liability, professional liability, and toxic torts, with opportunities to develop litigation strategy and trial skills.

Key Responsibilities

Manage defense litigation matters from case assessment through resolution, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda. Develop litigation strategies and work directly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in civil defense. Active Arizona Bar license with prior Arizona practice experience and a strong understanding of Arizona law. Construction litigation and general liability experience strongly preferred; asbestos, silica, or toxic tort experience is a plus. California Bar admission and/or practice experience is an advantage. Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – 160,000.
