๐ŸŒ Remote ยท United States ๐Ÿ’ผ Full-time

Clinical Manager Remote Full Time Zyter is hiring a Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Nurse Informaticist to guide an agentic AI platform being piloted with a large integrated healthcare system. You are the clinical voice on the team: you define what "critical" and "complete" mean, validate what the AI produces, and make sure every output is safe and useful for clinicians. Key responsibilities Define clinical logic Define criticality rules for clinical alerts: which lab results, imaging findings and consult events need follow-up, and what counts as evidence that follow-up happened. Build specialty referral pathway models with the client's referral teams, including the prerequisites (tests, labs, procedures, documents) each specialty requires. Translate clinical policy and workflow into clear requirements and acceptance criteria the engineering team can build against. Lead detailed workflow and requirements sessions with client clinical and operational stakeholders. Help design appropriate clinician acceptance, override and escalation patterns for AI-enabled workflows. Identify workflow variations associated with different markets, products, lines of business or regulatory requirements. Validate configured workflows with client clinical stakeholders. Support clinical UAT, scenario development, implementation readiness and go-live. Ensure clinical workflows remain understandable, traceable and practical for end users. Validate AI outputs Review AI classifications, summaries and recommendations against the medical record, and label cases to build test and evaluation sets. Measure accuracy with the team: sensitivity, precision, false positives and negatives, and agreement between reviewers. Identify patient-safety risks, edge cases and limitations, and recommend thresholds by specialty and facility. Support the shadow-mode phase, where AI outputs are compared with real human workflow outcomes before any wider use. Bridge clinicians and engineers Lead discovery sessions and interviews with clinicians, nurses, referral coordinators and scheduling staff. Contribute clinical insight to service blueprints, journey maps and process gap analyses. Design the clinician review queues and case views so they fit real workflows. Write training materials, standard operating procedures and quick reference guides, and run office hours for pilot users. Help build the evidence for the end-of-pilot decision: time saved, quality, safety and user acceptance. Required qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a US state. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); master's degree in nursing informatics, health informatics or a related field preferred. 8+ years of clinical experience, including 3+ years in nursing or clinical informatics. Hands-on experience with EHR workflows, including clinical alerts and notifications, results management, orders and consults. Working knowledge of referral and care coordination processes across specialties and outside providers. Experience turning clinical workflows into requirements and working directly with software or IT teams. Strong grounding in patient safety, quality improvement and HIPAA privacy. Clear writing and presenting skills, including training clinicians and briefing senior leaders. US work authorization and residence in the US. Preferred qualifications ANCC Informatics Nursing certification (RN-BC) or similar. Experience with Epic, Oracle Health or another major EHR, including alert or clinical decision support configuration. Experience validating or evaluating AI, NLP or clinical decision support tools. Background in a large integrated health system or a federal healthcare program. Experience with service design, journey mapping or Lean / Six Sigma process improvement. Familiarity with Agile teams and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
