Cloud Enginee - (Remote, Entry-Level)

Role Description This is a remote, entry-level, part-time role for a Cloud Engineer at International MBA Institute™. The Cloud Engineer will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure used to deliver training materials, online degree programs, and student services. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting with provisioning and configuring cloud resources, monitoring system performance and availability, and troubleshooting basic infrastructure and application issues. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers to implement secure, scalable solutions, contributing to documentation, and helping optimize resource usage and costs. The Cloud Engineer will also participate in improving deployment pipelines and ensuring that cloud environments remain reliable and aligned with organizational standards.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess foundational skills in Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, including basic understanding of virtual machines, storage, networking, and cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Candidates should possess skills in Software Development, such as scripting or programming for automation (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar), and familiarity with version control tools. Candidates should possess skills in Linux, including comfort with command-line interfaces and basic system administration tasks. Candidates should possess skills related to Databases, such as basic SQL knowledge and an understanding of relational or cloud-native database services. Additional beneficial qualifications include strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). A relevant academic background or certifications in computer science, information technology, or cloud technologies are advantageous but not strictly required for entry-level candidates. Effective written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently in a remote setting, and a collaborative mindset when interacting with global teams are highly valued.
