Role Description The Collections Associate is a full-time remote role responsible for managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely payment from clients. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring outstanding invoices, following up with customers on overdue balances, and resolving billing discrepancies in coordination with the sales and finance teams. The role involves communicating with clients via email and phone, documenting collection activities, and recommending payment plans or escalation when necessary. The Collections Associate will also support process improvements in billing and collection workflows, helping maintain accurate records and contributing to overall cash flow efficiency.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of billing processes and experience working with invoices, payment terms, and basic accounting systems. Demonstrated experience in debt collection and cash collection, including managing overdue accounts and negotiating payment arrangements. Solid analytical skills to review account histories, identify discrepancies, and recommend appropriate collection actions. Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams in writing and over the phone. Comfort working remotely, with reliable internet access, good time management, and attention to detail. Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial or CRM software; prior experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer service is preferred. Relevant education such as a degree or coursework in finance, accounting, business, or a related field is beneficial.
