Senior DevOps & Platform Engineer Location: Remote (2-Year Project) Employment Type: Contract Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps & Platform Engineer to join our fast-paced client , you will play a crucial part in modernizing our infrastructure, driving automation, and championing DevOps and platform engineering best practices across multiple high-impact migration and cloud initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Engineering & Infrastructure: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable internal developer platforms and cloud-native infrastructure. CI/CD & Automation: Implement robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, leveraging modern automation tools to streamline code delivery. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage provisioning, scaling, and configuration of cloud resources using declarative configuration and automated tools. Collaboration & Culture: Evangelize DevOps culture, modern software delivery methods, and reliability best practices across cross-functional engineering teams. Monitoring & Reliability: Partner with SRE and operations teams to ensure high availability, proactive observability, and rapid incident response. Security & Compliance: Integrate security guardrails early into the deployment pipeline (DevSecOps) and ensure compliance with enterprise policies. Required Skills & Qualifications Core DevOps Practices: Deep understanding of DevOps lifecycle management, CI/CD principles, version control, and infrastructure automation. Containerization & Orchestration: Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes (OpenShift or enterprise Kubernetes environments). Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible. Cloud & Platform Operations: Familiarity with modern hybrid-cloud architectures, multi-cluster management, and disaster recovery strategies. Observability & Logging: Experience setting up monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
