Financial Analyst (Position is remote with occasional onsite in Albany, NY)

Required Skills Healthcare Finance Required Skills Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or related field. 2-5 years of financial analysis experience. Strong grasp of financial statements and accounting fundamentals. Advanced Excel (modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation). PowerPoint proficiency for client-ready materials. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Comfort presenting to, training, and taking live questions from non-technical client stakeholders. Preferred Skills Hospital or healthcare finance experience. Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare and other state or federal programs. Government or public-sector client experience. Data visualization exposure (e.g., Tableau).

Responsibilities

Analyze monthly hospital financial submissions (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow). Maintain and refine reporting templates and models. Build Excel models (cash flow, scenario, variance). Identify trends, risks, and performance drivers across the hospital portfolio. Develop executive-ready PowerPoint summaries. Assist with dashboards and visualizations. Research Medicaid, Medicare, and state funding programs. Support broader healthcare finance and policy analysis. Support client analyst enablement (office hours, 1:1 and re trainings). Expected Deliverable(s) Contribute to the following as a part of the broader team: monthly hospital financial analyses and summaries. Updated reporting templates and Excel models. Executive presentations. Dashboards and visualizations. Funding program research briefs. Training materials and delivery of client office hours and trainings.
