Role Description The Director of Innovation Management is a full-time, remote role responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and delivering strategic innovation initiatives across the organization. This role oversees the innovation pipeline, from idea generation and evaluation through pilot projects and scaling successful solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading innovation programs, establishing frameworks and metrics for success, and ensuring alignment with organizational strategy. The director will facilitate workshops and ideation sessions, manage complex projects and programs, and prepare clear recommendations and reports for senior leadership. This role also ensures that innovation efforts are coordinated, compliant with organizational standards, and focused on tangible business impact.

Qualifications

Strong Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex data, assess risks, and evaluate the potential impact of innovation initiatives. Demonstrated experience in Program Management, overseeing multiple innovation programs or portfolios and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders. Proven Project Management capabilities, including planning, execution, resource management, and tracking deliverables to completion. Expertise in Strategic Planning, with a track record of aligning innovation efforts to organizational goals and long-term priorities. Consulting experience or consulting-style skills, such as stakeholder engagement, problem framing, and presenting clear recommendations to senior leaders. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to lead workshops, present to executive audiences, and collaborate across remote teams. Experience establishing innovation processes, governance, or frameworks and managing an innovation pipeline or portfolio. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering, strategy, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Comfort working in a remote environment, with strong self-management, digital collaboration skills, and commitment to inclusive, team-oriented work.
