Role Description The Director of Portfolio Management is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing and optimizing a diverse real estate portfolio. This role includes leading portfolio strategy, monitoring asset performance, and driving decisions that support value creation and risk mitigation. Day-to-day responsibilities involve analyzing market trends, developing portfolio plans, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and managing program-level initiatives that impact the portfolio. The director will set priorities for investment, divestment, and capital improvements, prepare performance reports for leadership, and ensure alignment with company objectives. This position also involves designing portfolio governance processes, improving tools and metrics, and mentoring team members involved in program and portfolio management activities.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret financial, market, and operational data to support portfolio decisions. Demonstrated experience in Portfolio Management and Project Portfolio Management, including prioritization, resource allocation, and performance tracking. Background in Finance with exposure to budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, and risk assessment for real estate assets. Proven Program Management capabilities, including planning, execution, and coordination of multiple initiatives across a portfolio. Extensive experience in real estate or asset management, preferably with responsibility for multi-property portfolios. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to leadership and partners. Strong organizational and decision-making skills, with a focus on results, accountability, and continuous improvement. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, PMP, real estate licensure) are a plus. Comfort working in a remote environment, using digital collaboration tools, and leading cross-functional teams across locations.
