Role Description The Director of Product Management is a full-time remote role responsible for defining and driving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Modern Technical Fund’s key offerings. This role leads a product management team, setting priorities, mentoring team members, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders across investment, engineering, operations, and marketing to identify opportunities, validate problems, and shape data-informed product decisions. The Director will oversee end-to-end product lifecycles, from discovery and requirements definition through launch and iterative optimization. This position also manages cross-functional initiatives, monitors product performance against key metrics, and communicates clear updates, risks, and trade-offs to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Strong product strategy and product management skills, including experience defining vision, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, develop insights, and make evidence-based decisions. Demonstrated team leadership capabilities, including coaching product managers and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment. Solid project management skills to coordinate cross-functional work, manage timelines, and ensure milestones are met. Experience leading digital or technology-driven products, ideally within financial services, fintech, or investment-related domains. Proficiency in modern product practices (e.g., agile methodologies, product discovery, experimentation, and customer research). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree is a plus. Comfort working in a remote, distributed environment with strong self-management and collaboration skills across time zones.
