Role Description The Director of Solution Architecture is a full-time, remote role responsible for defining and overseeing end-to-end technology solutions that support AYF’s business and client-facing objectives. This role includes leading solution and enterprise architecture efforts, aligning technology roadmaps with strategic goals, and ensuring scalability, security, and compliance across platforms and applications. The director collaborates closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust architectures and reference designs. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding presales solution design for key initiatives, providing consulting support on architectural decisions, reviewing technical proposals, and mentoring architecture teams and technical leaders. The role also involves establishing architecture standards, best practices, and governance processes to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Solution Architecture skills, including designing complex, integrated systems and defining end-to-end technical solutions. Candidates should possess Enterprise Architecture skills, such as developing target architectures, technology roadmaps, and aligning solutions with business strategy. Candidates should possess Consulting skills, including stakeholder engagement, requirements analysis, and the ability to advise on technology choices and trade-offs. Candidates should possess Presales skills, including creating solution proposals, supporting RFP/RFI responses, and presenting architectures to business and client stakeholders. Candidates should possess Architecture leadership skills, including setting standards, establishing governance, and mentoring multidisciplinary technical teams. Extensive experience in financial services or asset management environments, with familiarity in regulatory, security, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in cloud architectures, integration patterns, APIs, data platforms, and modern application design (e.g., microservices, event-driven systems). Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional, and multicultural teams. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, cloud provider certifications) are beneficial.
