Role Description The Director Technology Innovation is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the bank’s technology innovation agenda and digital transformation initiatives. This role oversees the identification, evaluation, and implementation of emerging technologies that support strategic objectives and enhance customer and employee experiences. Day-to-day tasks include developing and refining IT and innovation strategies, setting technology roadmaps, and coordinating cross-functional projects with business, operations, and IT teams. The Director will lead research into new tools, platforms, and methodologies, assess their feasibility, and manage pilot programs and proofs of concept. They will monitor project progress, manage budgets and timelines, communicate status to senior leadership, and ensure that innovation initiatives are aligned with regulatory and security requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to evaluate emerging technologies, market trends, and business needs. Candidates should possess Strategic Planning and IT Strategy skills to define innovation roadmaps, align technology initiatives with business goals, and guide digital transformation. Candidates should possess Project Management skills to oversee complex technology initiatives, manage stakeholders, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Candidates should possess excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to work with cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders. Advanced understanding of banking or financial services technology, including digital channels, data platforms, and cybersecurity, is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, agile methodologies) are advantageous. Experience in leading innovation programs, technology strategy, or digital transformation in financial services or a similarly regulated industry is preferred.
