E-Commerce Operations Intern
E-Commerce Operation Internship Starting Date: ASAP Location: Remote Hours: 15–20 hours per week Salary: $16/hour Position Overview BP LabLine is looking for an E-Commerce Operations Intern to join our operation team. In this hands-on, remote role, you will assist with day-to-day site management, order fulfillment troubleshooting, inventory tracking, and cross-functional project support across Shopify, Amazon, and eBay. This is an ideal position for a student or recent graduate eager to learn how digital retail and direct-to-consumer businesses operate behind the scenes. You will take on the operational work that keeps our catalog accurate and our store easy to shop — product listings, supplier information, and website content — and, over time, help simplify and improve the standard operating procedures (SOPs) behind that work, so the process gets faster and cleaner, not just busier.
Key Responsibilities
Site & Inventory Management — Own the product listing lifecycle: create, update, and remove product listings (titles, descriptions, specifications, images, pricing, SKUs, and variants) across Shopify, Amazon, and eBay, following listing standards. Assist with updating stock counts, pricing, and product status, and flag discrepancies for the operations lead. Supplier Information Cleanup & Vendor Support — Organize, clean, and standardize product information supplied by vendors, including specifications, manuals, catalogs, pricing, and shipping/freight details; flag missing or inconsistent data. Help coordinate supplier and partner follow-ups, return requests, and related administrative tasks, and maintain an organized library of product images, manuals, datasheets, and certificates so every listed product has complete documentation. Website Maintenance & Marketing Solution Pages — Keep product pages, collections, and content pages accurate and up to date. Build and update marketing solution pages on the website from briefs and source materials, coordinating copy, images, and product links. Order & Fulfillment Support — Provide day-to-day order follow-up in partnership with the operations lead: check order status, help troubleshoot order issues, shipping delays, and backorders, and flag delays, exceptions, or other issues promptly so nothing stalls unnoticed. Process & SOP Improvement (long-term) — Document how tasks are done today, spot repetitive or error-prone steps, and propose simpler workflows, checklists, and templates to streamline and simplify our SOPs. Qualifications & Requirements Education — Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program (rising Juniors or Seniors preferred) studying Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, E-commerce, or a related field. Recent graduates interested in e-commerce or business operations are also welcome to apply. A long-term internship (approximately 6 months to 1 year) is strongly preferred. The position has the potential to turn into a full-time job. Technical Skills — Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables), and comfort working accurately with SKUs, specifications, and product data. Technical Skills — Familiarity with e-commerce content or store management platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, or eBay) is a plus, not a requirement; we will train the right candidate. Experience with Canva, Photoshop, or simple page builders is also a plus. Soft Skills — Strong attention to detail, a proactive problem-solving attitude, and clear written and verbal communication skills. Organized and reliable: follows through, asks early when information is missing, and keeps work traceable. Able to clean up and standardize product copy and technical information. Availability — This is a remote position. Ability to commit to 15–20 hours per week during school terms, on a consistent weekly schedule. Plus — Interest in laboratory or scientific products is a plus, but curiosity and carefulness matter more than background knowledge.
