Role Description The Enterprise Solution Architect – Windchill will design and oversee end-to-end solution architectures centered around PTC Windchill within complex enterprise environments. This contract, remote role involves analyzing business processes, defining system requirements, and aligning Windchill capabilities with enterprise architecture standards and ERP systems. The architect will collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, IT, and business teams to create scalable, secure, and compliant solutions, including integration with enterprise software and related tools. Daily activities include producing architecture documents, leading technical design reviews, guiding implementation teams, and ensuring solutions adhere to best practices and industry regulations. The role also requires ongoing optimization of existing Windchill deployments and support for continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Business Process analysis and optimization, with experience mapping requirements to technology solutions. Proficiency in Solution Architecture and Enterprise Architecture, including designing integrated, scalable, and secure systems. Hands-on experience with Enterprise Software platforms and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including integration with Windchill or similar PLM tools. Deep knowledge of PTC Windchill (configuration, customization, lifecycle management) and related PLM concepts. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage. Experience working in R&D, manufacturing, or regulated industries such as MedTech, Aerospace, or Automotive is beneficial. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams. Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, document architectures, and provide guidance to implementation and support teams.
