ESL Teacher, Part-Time – Adult Learners

Job Description:

• Teach English to adult professionals in engaging small-group sessions using immersive technology
• Facilitate structured communicative English lessons
• Guide learners through realistic scenarios such as meetings, travel, cafés, and professional communication
• Provide feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and fluency
• Conduct 40-minute sessions
• Communicate proactively with the instructional team
• Provide weekly availability for scheduling across global time zones
• Teach up to 20 hours per week

Requirements:

• BA in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or closely related field OR Bachelor's degree plus an English teaching certification (120-hour TESOL certificate/CELTA or equivalent) and extensive teaching experience
• 2+ years of structured ESL teaching experience
• Experience teaching adult learners in group settings of 8 or more
• Strong foundation in communicative or task-based language teaching
• Demonstrated ability to develop speaking and listening skills intentionally
• C1 English proficiency (CEFR) or Advanced High (ACTFL) equivalent or higher
• Comfortable using technology and learning new platforms
• Organized, reliable, and professional
• Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) PC
• Intel i5-1135G7 / AMD Ryzen 5 5500U or better
• Intel Iris Xe / AMD Vega 7 or better
• 8GB RAM
• 10GB available storage
• Ethernet connection; Wi-Fi-only setups are not supported
• Minimum 50 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload internet speed
• Wired headset with built-in microphone
• Must reside in an eligible U.S. location; residents of California, Oregon, Massachusetts, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, Illinois, and Washington cannot be hired
