In this dual‑standard role, you will design and deliver engaging virtual lessons, provide one‑to‑one coaching, assess progress, and guide apprentices from induction through to Gateway and End‑Point Assessment (EPA). Your expertise will help learners translate classroom knowledge into workplace excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Virtual Teaching & Coaching: Deliver dynamic, interactive online lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. Adapt content to reflect real‑world business scenarios and customer interactions.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate apprentices through assignments, workplace evidence, and professional discussions. Provide timely, constructive feedback and set clear development targets.
  • Learner Journey Management: Guide apprentices from induction to Gateway and EPA, ensuring evidence aligns with assessment criteria and standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate e‑portfolio entries, complete monthly teaching logs, and conduct progress reviews every 10 weeks.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with employers, workplace mentors, and internal quality assurance teams to support learner wellbeing and progress.
  • Compliance & Quality: Adhere to apprenticeship funding rules, safeguarding policies, Prevent, and quality assurance standards. Contribute to standardisation, CPD, and resource development.
  • Career Development: Support apprentices’ career progression and uphold high satisfaction levels among learners and employers.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive, current occupational experience in business administration and customer service, demonstrating a deep understanding of effective workplace practice.
  • Proven experience delivering and assessing Business Administration Level 3 and/or Customer Service Specialist Level 3; competence in both standards is required.
  • Track record of supporting apprentices to successful Gateway and EPA completion.
  • In‑depth knowledge of business administration processes, document and data management, stakeholder communication, and organisational policies.
  • Strong grasp of customer needs, complex enquiries, complaints handling, and service improvement strategies.
  • Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (e.g., AET/PTLLS or equivalent).
  • Recognised Level 3 assessor qualification (e.g., CAVA or equivalent).
  • Experience in apprenticeships, further education, or workplace learning environments.
  • Understanding of apprenticeship standards, KSBs, off‑the‑job training, Gateway, and EPA processes.
  • Confidence using e‑portfolios and virtual delivery platforms.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience developing or delivering training in service improvement, customer experience, administration systems, or operational processes.
  • Experience with inspection and quality assurance within apprenticeship provision.
  • Coaching or mentoring qualifications.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Communication: Clear, concise, and engaging verbal and written communication.
  • Motivation & Inspiration: Ability to energise learners and foster a growth mindset.
  • Organisation & Time Management: Efficiently manage multiple learners, deadlines, and administrative tasks.
  • IT Proficiency: Comfortable with LMS, e‑portfolio systems, and virtual meeting tools.
  • Collaborative mindset, flexible approach, and commitment to inclusive practice.
  • Strong focus on learner wellbeing, continuous improvement, and positive outcomes.
