Why This Role Matters

As a Medical Billing Data Entry & Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring that every patient encounter is accurately captured, every claim is submitted on time, and every payment is posted correctly. Your work directly impacts the financial health of our clients and the quality of care they can provide. In a fast‑moving industry where accuracy and speed are paramount, you will become an indispensable part of the revenue cycle team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Charge Entry & Claim Creation: Generate accurate claims, verify completeness, and submit to payers while ensuring compliance with payer rules.
  • Payment Posting: Process Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and paper remittances, posting payments and adjustments in the billing system.
  • Eligibility & Benefit Verification: Check insurance eligibility and benefits to support accurate patient registration and reduce claim denials.
  • Document Management: Log missing, unclear, or incomplete documents, and coordinate with clients to resolve issues promptly.
  • A/R Follow‑Up: Track unpaid and under‑paid claims through payer portals and phone calls, maintaining a clear audit trail.
  • Denial Management: Research denial reasons, correct claims, and file appeals to recover revenue.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy targets set by our clients, ensuring high quality and efficiency.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Record all work clearly in client systems and trackers, safeguarding patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process bottlenecks and propose solutions to enhance workflow and accuracy.
