Financial Analyst

What this job covers Working Quarter is hiring a Financial Analyst, full-time and remote from anywhere in the United States. Once a client's ledger is closed for the month, you turn it into the report pack: income statement, balance sheet, comparatives and the commentary that explains what changed. Each month Pull the trial balance after close and map it to the client's report layout Prepare month and year-to-date comparatives against the prior year and the budget Investigate the larger variances and ask the bookkeeper what caused them Draft the commentary in plain language for the business owner Tie every figure in the pack back to a supporting schedule Keep the report template consistent from month to month To be considered A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics, or equivalent work experience A year or more in financial reporting, FP&A or accounting, internships included Excel: pivot tables, lookups and linked workbooks A plus QuickBooks Online, Xero or NetSuite Experience writing variance commentary Benefits at Working Quarter Health, dental and vision insurance, with cover for dependents 401(k) plan with an employer match Paid vacation, sick time and federal holidays Paid study time and exam fees for accounting courses A laptop and a stipend for your home office Working Quarter Working Quarter is a Philadelphia firm that prepares monthly financial reports and the close schedules behind them, working alongside each client's own bookkeeping.
