Fractional General Counsel | Equity-Only Imaging Benchmark | Remote, United States | Part-Time Contract Engagement Imaging Benchmark is seeking an experienced attorney to help guide the company through launch and serve as its fractional legal lead in exchange for a meaningful equity stake. We are building an independent platform that helps hospitals, imaging operators, and radiology groups evaluate the financial case for medical imaging products. Our work brings together product evidence, historical pricing information, and facility-specific analysis to help buyers make better purchasing decisions. We are targeting launch the week of November 9 and preparing for RSNA 2026 in Chicago later this month. This is an opportunity to join while the company’s legal and commercial foundations are still being established. You would work directly with the founder, shape consequential decisions, and hold an ownership interest in the business you help build. The initial work Complete the remaining corporate organization and founder documentation, including equity arrangements, governance, and intellectual property ownership. Handle legal correspondence and negotiations, including an existing matter involving public records and access to commercial information. Advise on the company’s use and publication of product research, pricing information, and other data. Support selected commercial agreements and coordinate specialist counsel where needed. The engagement will have a defined initial scope, flexible scheduling, and agreed availability. Any substantial expansion of responsibilities would be discussed and agreed separately. Who would fit An attorney with sound commercial judgment, experience advising businesses, and the ability to handle both corporate documentation and negotiations. You should be comfortable identifying what matters, explaining the options clearly, and helping the company move forward. Startup, technology, data rights, or commercial dispute experience would be valuable. Healthcare experience is welcome but not required. An active U.S. law license in good standing is required. Florida admission is strongly preferred. Compensation and arrangement This opportunity is equity-only, with no cash salary or retainer. We are prepared to discuss a meaningful ownership stake based on experience, agreed responsibilities, and ongoing commitment. The percentage, vesting, and engagement terms will be agreed in writing before work begins. The role is intended to accommodate an existing practice or other professional commitments, subject to conflicts and applicable professional obligations.
