Hyland OnBase Support Engineer

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

Datum Evolve LLC | Full-Time | 100% Remote (United States) Salary: $85,000–$110,000 annually About Datum Evolve We're a small company doing some pretty big things with Hyland OnBase and related technologies. Datum Evolve is a Hyland partner working primarily with financial institutions, especially credit unions. We help our customers solve problems, improve processes, and get more out of the technology they've invested in. We're also a little different from what you might expect from a technology consulting company. Our team is fully remote, we're growing, and we've worked hard to build a company where people can be themselves. We don't believe in micromanaging or unnecessary layers of management. We trust our people to do their jobs, communicate with each other, and take care of our customers. We're looking for someone who enjoys that kind of environment and wants to be part of what we're building.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Hyland OnBase Support Engineer who enjoys troubleshooting, working with customers, and solving technical challenges. This position combines customer support, OnBase administration, installations, upgrades, and migrations. You'll work directly with customers to resolve issues, maintain their OnBase environments, and participate in implementation projects. We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in OnBase who can contribute from day one. You'll work alongside our engineers to become familiar with our customers, environments, and approach. As we grow, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities in support coordination, technical documentation, process improvement, and potentially technical or team leadership.

What You'll Do

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Hyland OnBase environments. Investigate and resolve customer issues while maintaining clear communication and accurate ticket documentation. Manage and prioritize support requests, collaborating with internal engineers and Hyland support when needed. Install and configure new OnBase environments. Participate in OnBase upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure transitions. Assist with implementation planning, deployment activities, and technical troubleshooting. Maintain customer environment documentation and internal knowledge resources. Help identify opportunities to improve support processes and the customer experience.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications 3–5 years of hands-on Hyland OnBase experience in support, administration, implementation, or a comparable role. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, IIS, networking concepts, and application services. Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when working directly with customers. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to work independently while knowing when to collaborate or escalate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience installing, configuring, or upgrading Hyland OnBase environments. Experience with OnBase migrations or infrastructure transitions. Familiarity with OnBase Application Server, Unity Client, Workflow, and related components. Experience supporting financial services organizations, particularly banks or credit unions. Familiarity with Hyland Content Innovation Cloud (CIC). Hyland certifications or experience in a consulting or managed services environment. You don't need to check every preferred qualification. If you have a strong OnBase foundation and enjoy solving problems, we'd like to hear from you. How We'll Help You Succeed Even experienced engineers need time to get familiar with new customers and environments. You'll work alongside our team during support calls, installations, and upgrades to learn how Datum Evolve operates. We believe in giving people the support and trust they need to succeed without micromanaging how they get there. Compensation & Benefits Annual Base Salary: $85,000–$110,000 Compensation is based on experience and technical capabilities. Candidates toward the higher end of the range will typically have demonstrated experience independently managing OnBase support, installations, upgrades, and migrations, along with strong infrastructure troubleshooting and customer communication skills. Benefits include: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) with a 100% company match on employee contributions up to 6% of eligible compensation. 10 days of paid time off, plus 9 paid holidays. A flexible approach to time-off requests. Annual performance bonus opportunity. Company-paid Hyland certifications and professional training. Company-provided home office equipment. 100% remote work environment. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary for customer upgrades or implementations. Travel is not required. Interested? We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in their work, and genuinely cares about the customers they support. If you're an experienced OnBase professional looking for a place where your contributions matter and you can be yourself, we'd love to talk. Apply through LinkedIn with your resume.
