Inside Account Manager – Corporate

Job Description:

• Conduct comprehensive needs analysis to understand customer challenges, goals, and opportunities
• Represent Elsevier as a trusted advisor and align solutions to customer strategies
• Achieve revenue targets through new sales and timely renewals
• Use data and insights to inform decisions, forecast accurately, and identify growth opportunities across the full portfolio
• Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams to design and execute strategic account plans
• Communicate with stakeholders and present solutions clearly and persuasively
• Champion inclusion and leverage diverse perspectives
• Navigate complex, matrix environments and adapt to changing customer needs and market conditions
• Continuously learn about customer industries, Elsevier’s portfolio, and emerging trends
• Build internal and external connections to accelerate decision-making and reduce barriers
• Uncover and interpret customer priorities, pain points, and strategic objectives
• Position Elsevier’s integrated products and services
• Maintain urgency and accountability in achieving revenue and growth targets
• Use analytics and insights to guide actions and measure impact
• Build trust and foster cooperation across diverse teams and stakeholders
• Adapt to complexity and maintain focus under pressure

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5 years in B2B sales or account management, preferably in corporate or knowledge-based industries
• Proven success in strategic account planning and consultative selling
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and other sales enablement tools
• Experience working in a matrix organization and managing complex stakeholder relationships
