Litigation Defense Attorney (Contract) | Remote About this role A leading insurance organization is seeking experienced Litigation Defense Attorneys licensed in Virginia and/or Florida to provide ongoing support managing active litigation matters. This is a long-term remote contract opportunity for attorneys interested in consistent, flexible work supporting insurance defense litigation.
Responsibilities
Manage an active caseload of defense-side litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle Develop and implement initial case strategies, litigation plans, and timelines Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents Assist with discovery, depositions, and pre-trial preparation Provide trial support and collaborate with lead counsel Review case files, analyze legal issues, and recommend defense strategies Support attorneys making court appearances and handling hearings Maintain thorough documentation and timely case updates
Qualifications
Active Bar license in Virginia and/or Florida 3+ years managing litigation matters from inception through resolution General liability, premises liability, or auto liability matters preferred Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment Trial preparation and courtroom support experience preferred Details Location: Remote (U.S.) Duration: Long-Term Ongoing Contract Compensation: $75-$85/hour DOE
