Position: Software Engineer – Java & Data Processing Location: Remote, USA Experienced Software Engineer with strong object-oriented programming skills and experience building large-scale data processing systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound technical judgment, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software and data processing systems.
- Translate requirements into technical designs and estimate development effort.
- Investigate and resolve production issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software.
- Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience building large-scale data processing systems.
- Strong design judgment and the ability to work through ambiguous requirements.
- Experience estimating work and resolving production issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and MySQL.
- Experience building large-scale, real-time streaming pipelines using technologies such as Kafka, Druid, or Spark.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
