Junior Cyber Security Analyst

This employer is hiring for a Cyber Defense Analyst to support critical security operations and incident response efforts within a high-stakes technical environment. The role focuses on maintaining network integrity, identifying potential threats, and ensuring compliance with established security protocols. The Role Perform defensive cyber operations and security service provider duties to improve enterprise-wide security posture. Conduct preliminary analysis, identification, and response actions to detect and mitigate cyber incidents. Investigate security events from start to finish, including data collection, analysis, and comprehensive reporting. Document incident response steps while maintaining strict chain of custody for all evidence and artifacts. Collaborate with internal and external agencies to address insider threats and support security investigations. What You'll Need At least 1 year of general full-time work experience and 6 months of directly related experience in information security, cybersecurity, or enterprise-level monitoring. Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance. Possession of, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, a relevant industry certification such as CySA+, CEH, or equivalent. Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operational environment and travel as required. What's On Offer Annual salary of $100,000 – $115,000.
