About us LNM Financial Services (DBA Firmly Profits) is a fractional CFO and bookkeeping firm built exclusively for law firm owners. We work with personal injury, family law, immigration, bankruptcy and hourly billing firms doing $250K to $8M+ a year. Our job is to keep their books clean and help attorneys actually understand their numbers so they can make decisions before problems show up, not after. We're a small, growing team, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us. What you'll do
- Own the monthly books for a roster of law firm clients in QuickBooks Online
- Categorize transactions and reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a weekly cadence, with month-end closed by the 10th–15th
- Reconcile trust (IOLTA) accounts monthly against the firm's case management system
- Track case costs correctly for contingency fee firms
- Run payroll journal entries from Gusto and similar providers
- Work in Clio, CasePeer, Ramp and other tools our clients use
- Prepare clean financials that our CFO team uses for client reporting
- Communicate with clients (attorneys and their staff) to chase down missing info, clearly and professionally
- Follow our SOPs, flag issues early and help improve our processes as we grow
What you need (must-haves)
- 2+ years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience — the day-to-day work, not just familiarity
- 2+ years keeping books for multiple clients at once (at a bookkeeping firm, CPA firm or as a freelancer with several clients)
- Comfort with monthly bank and credit card reconciliations from start to finish
- Available full time, Monday–Friday during business hours
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines across a full client roster
- Clear written communication — a lot of this job happens over email
- Fully remote work, but must be located in the state of Florida to be considered
Nice to have
- Law firm bookkeeping experience, especially trust/IOLTA accounting
- Experience with Clio, CasePeer, Gusto or Ramp
- QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification
