Lead AI Engineer - Citizens Only
Lead AI Engineer Remote Full Time
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional full-stack development and cutting-edge AI integration. You will design and implement scalable solutions, build autonomous AI agents, and integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) directly into production workflows. You will move seamlessly between front-end applications, back-end services, cloud infrastructure, and AI platforms, ensuring our products are secure, reliable, and highly performant. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and shaping the future of AI-powered software products.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern technologies and best practices. Build and deploy AI-powered features leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic workflows. Develop autonomous agents to automate business processes and enhance user experiences. Create and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Integrate AI services into existing applications while maintaining performance, security, and reliability. Design and optimize data pipelines, vector databases, and knowledge retrieval systems. Implement cloud-native architectures using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Ensure application security, compliance, monitoring, and observability across all systems. Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices. Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve products and processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in full-stack software development. Strong proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Node.js, Java, or C#. Experience building modern front-end applications using React, Angular, or Vue.js. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong understanding of databases, including SQL and NoSQL technologies. Experience designing APIs, distributed systems, and microservices architectures. Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with LLMs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or similar platforms. Knowledge of AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel. Experience implementing RAG architectures and vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, or Azure AI Search. Familiarity with prompt engineering, model evaluation, and AI safety practices. Experience building AI agents, chatbots, copilots, or intelligent automation platforms. Understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, and AI governance. Exposure to healthcare, finance, SaaS, or enterprise software domains is a plus.
