Learning Project Manager

We are working with our client in the defense technology industry to locate an experienced Learning Project Manager to support a structured onboarding and field-readiness program for approximately 60 Field Test Engineers and future hires. The client is building a more consistent and measurable onboarding experience, replacing variable informal coaching with sequenced learning, structured field practice, and documented evidence of technical readiness. The program will combine short self-paced lessons, practical job aids, on-the-job training (OJT) tools, coach guidance, and performance-based qualification assessments. The Project Manager will coordinate the accelerated technical onboarding engagement, including production planning, stakeholder reviews, milestones, risks, and approvals. Start Date: ASAP Duration: Through December 2026 for Phase 1; potential extension Hours: up to 40 hours per week Location: Remote Responsibilities: Build and maintain the production schedule, deliverable register, scope backlog, and milestone status reporting. Coordinate the Learning Strategist, Senior ID/OJT Specialist, Learning Developer/Graphic Designer, QA and client Lead weekly production reviews covering progress, dependencies, decisions, risks, and approval status. Track deliverables as drafted, technically approved, quality-checked, or launch-ready. Manage review cycles, consolidated feedback, version control, and change-control requests. Coordinate pilot planning, coach orientation, feedback capture, corrective actions, and handoff during an authorized 2027 continuation. Experience Required: Experience managing multi-workstream instructional design and learning development projects. Strong schedule, resource, risk, stakeholder, and review-cycle management capabilities. Ability to maintain production backlogs, approval gates, change logs, and concise executive status reporting. Experience coordinating technical SMEs, developers, instructional designers, and QA specialists. Aerospace, defense, energy, advanced manufacturing, industrial operations, or military technical training experience. PMP or comparable project management training; Smartsheet or equivalent tools. Security / content handling: Project materials may include Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Personnel must follow client-approved access, awareness training, and handling requirements.
