Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Machine Learning Engineer at CV.jo. The Machine Learning Engineer will design, develop, and optimize models that analyze and improve résumés for ATS compatibility and job-matching accuracy. Day-to-day activities include building and evaluating pattern recognition and neural network models, experimenting with algorithms for text and profile analysis, and working with data to enhance recommendation and scoring systems. The engineer will collaborate with product and content teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, deploy models into production, and continuously monitor performance to refine features and improve user outcomes.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Computer Science and Algorithms, including data structures, algorithmic problem-solving, and software engineering fundamentals. Candidates should possess solid expertise in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, with experience in training, tuning, and evaluating models for real-world applications. Candidates should possess a firm grounding in Statistics, including statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and data analysis for model evaluation. Experience with machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and version control systems (e.g., Git) is highly beneficial. Prior work with natural language processing (NLP), résumé or recruitment data, or ATS-related systems is a strong plus. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage part-time hours effectively.
