Role Description The Vice President of Technology is a full-time remote leadership role responsible for shaping and executing Standard Bank Egypt’s technology vision and strategy. This position oversees the design, implementation, and governance of core IT platforms and infrastructure to ensure security, scalability, and regulatory compliance. Day-to-day activities include leading technology roadmaps, managing complex projects and programs, prioritizing digital initiatives, and coordinating with business leaders to align technology solutions with commercial objectives. The role involves monitoring emerging technologies, optimizing IT operations, guiding architecture decisions, and driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and data. The Vice President of Technology also mentors technology teams, manages vendor relationships, and ensures that technology investments deliver measurable business value.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Information Technology, including enterprise systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. Proficiency in IT Strategy and Strategic Planning to align technology initiatives with business goals and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated Project Management and program leadership skills to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder technology initiatives on time and within budget. Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess risks, and support informed decision-making on technology investments and priorities. Extensive experience in senior technology leadership roles within banking, financial services, or similarly regulated industries. Proven ability to lead distributed and remote teams, foster collaboration, and build a culture of accountability and innovation. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage executive leadership and cross-functional teams. Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications in project management or enterprise architecture are an advantage.
