Manager, Tax (Public Account ing)
Our client is a well established firm in central Ohio. We are helping them hire the next generation of leaders to prepare for the decades ahead. Growth and succession planning establish the need for a second Manager for their Tax Division. This person will work in concert with the current manager and the Managing Partner over the tax function. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience in managing a tax group within public accounting, but the client will also consider a Sr. Tax Accountant ready to move to the next level. Responsibilities
Perform tax research, understanding current tax laws for corporations, partnerships, and high wealth individuals. Work directly with a portfolio of clients. Be the primary conduit of communication and manage activity with clients. Advise clients on appropriate tax strategies for their situations. Review tax returns prepared by tax prep associates. Coach and mentor associates to assist their growth and careers. Oversee non-income tax compliance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance. Masters degree a plus. CPA highly desirable. 5+ years' of experience of professional tax experience in a senior tax or manager role in public accounting. Strong client interaction skills and experience. Ability to work through sometimes challenging and sensitive situations. Familiarity tax laws for C-corps, S-corps, LLP's, LLC's, and sole proprietorships What Makes This Special The team at this firm is truly a group of great folks. Collaborative. No politics.
