Health Coach — Remote, Part-Time (1099 Contract) Pay: $25 to $35 per hour, based on experience and credentials Hours: 10 to 20 hours per week, flexible Type: Independent contractor (1099) Location: 100% remote, US-based About us AyaRx is a telehealth company offering weight management and men’s health programs across the US. Our licensed clinicians handle the medical care. Our Health Coaches help patients get clear on their goals, stay on track with the plan their provider set, and stay engaged when motivation dips. About the role This is a non-clinical coaching role. You won’t diagnose, discuss medications, or give medical advice. You’ll be the person patients talk to most often, and the person who knows when to bring in the clinical team. What you’ll do

• Hold first-touch consults with people unsure which program fits them, and route them to the right intake
• Run regular check-ins with current patients to track progress and reinforce habits
• Talk with patients considering cancellation, understand why, and help re-engage them where the reason is motivation, cost or a plateau
• Run coaching intakes on goals, habits, readiness for change and barriers
• Set patient-led goals and action steps
• Share general wellness education from approved sources
• Help patients follow plans set by their licensed provider
• Spot red flags and route them to the clinical team following our protocol
• Document every interaction in our systems

What you won’t do Diagnose, interpret labs, discuss medications, supplements or dosing, write medical meal plans or therapeutic exercise plans, compare treatments, or provide therapy. Anything medical goes to our clinicians. What you bring

• 2+ years in health or wellness coaching, patient engagement, or a similar client-facing role
• A health coaching certificate from an NBHWC-approved program or another recognized program (ACE, NASM, Wellcoaches), including training in motivational interviewing
• Comfort with video, phone and messaging consults
• Clear, warm communication with people who are uncertain or frustrated
• A private, quiet workspace, reliable internet, and a computer with camera and headset

Nice to have

• Full NBC-HWC board certification (paid at the top of the range)
• Additional behavior-change or wellness credentials
• Experience with weight management or men’s health clients

Licensed clinicians (RN, RD, etc.) are welcome to apply. This role is coaching only and is not practiced under a clinical license. Contractor details This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement, not employment. Contractors set their own availability, use their own equipment, and are responsible for their own taxes.
