Paralegal

Barker Patterson Nichols, LLP is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our growing firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, excellent organizational and communication skills, and particular expertise in reviewing and analyzing medical records.

Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and summarize medical records, with an emphasis on medical malpractice and related litigation. Conduct legal research and prepare subpoenas. Manage discovery in civil litigation matters. Summarize depositions and assist with other case-related activities. Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses. Provide support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation. Experience with any of the following software programs would be a plus : Pacer, PDF conversion software, Westlaw/Lexis, ProLaw, Litigation Solutions, ELAW and Ontellus Medical malpractice defense or insurance defense experience preferred If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoy working in a specialized litigation practice, we encourage you to apply.
