Job DescriptionJob DescriptionParalegal Civil LitigationLocation : Remote, CaliforniaPosition Type : Full-TimeExperience Level : 5Years healthcare relatedKey Responsibilities :Case ManagementLegal ResearchDocument Preparation.DiscoveryInteractionTrial PreparationCalendar ManagementCourt FilingsAdministrative SupportQualifications :Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in civil litigation.Experience in elder abuse, medical malpractice and / or civil litigation defense is a bonus.Education : Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.Knowledge : In-depth understanding of California civil procedure, court rules (including local and court-specific departmental rules), and filing requirements (including e-filing) requirements.Familiarity with all aspects of discovery, including third party subpoenas for records, and trial procedures is a plus.Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills; organized and precise with strong attention to detail; computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), legal research databases, and case management software.Abilities : Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines; strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate case needs.Willingness to provide trial and other case-specific support as needed.Certifications : Certification as a Certified Paralegal (CP) or California Advanced Specialist (CAS) is preferred but not required.Compensation :Salary range :$75,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience).Benefits package includes a generous monthly health insurance stipend, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunitiesCompany DescriptionDe Vore Recruiting is a boutique staffing firm.We call it Healthy Hiring because finding great talent shouldn't be painful.Company DescriptionDe Vore Recruiting is a boutique staffing firm.We call it Healthy Hiring because finding great talent shouldn't be painful..
