About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Part-Time Social Media Content Creator & Video Editor to support our social media content production and channel operations. This role involves short-form video planning, scriptwriting, filming, editing, and content publishing across platforms such as Xiaohongshu (RED) and TikTok. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of storytelling, visual aesthetics, and social media trends, and can independently manage the content creation process from idea development to final delivery. Key Responsibilities 1. Content Planning & Scriptwriting Develop short-form video ideas and content plans based on account positioning and target audiences. Write video scripts, talking points, headlines, captions, and social media copy. Adapt content concepts to different platforms and audience preferences. 2. Video Production & Filming Plan and execute short-form video shoots, including on-camera filming, basic scene setup, and footage collection. Apply basic camera techniques, composition, and visual storytelling principles to produce engaging content. Coordinate filming schedules and prepare necessary materials in advance. 3. Video Editing & Post-Production Independently edit short-form videos, including subtitles, music, transitions, pacing, and cover design. Deliver polished, engaging videos that align with the content strategy and platform requirements. Organize footage and maintain an efficient content production workflow. 4. Social Media Content Operations Support content publishing and scheduling across platforms such as Xiaohongshu (RED) and TikTok. Monitor platform trends, popular topics, and emerging content formats. Help maintain a consistent publishing schedule and adapt content for different channels. 5. Content Optimization & Performance Review Track basic content performance metrics, including views, engagement, and audience interactions. Review content performance and suggest improvements to future topics, scripts, and video formats. Collaborate with the team to refine content direction and improve overall content quality.
Qualifications
Previous experience in social media operations, short-form video production, content planning, or video editing. A portfolio or examples of previous work demonstrating content creation and editing skills. Strong writing skills, with the ability to independently develop video scripts, talking points, and social media captions. Familiarity with short-form video filming, camera composition, and basic production techniques. Proficiency in at least one video editing tool, such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro. Strong creative thinking, visual awareness, and familiarity with social media content trends. Reliable execution and time management skills, with the ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines. Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to understand feedback and refine content accordingly.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing or creating content for Xiaohongshu (RED), TikTok, or other social media platforms. Experience developing content for personal brands, lifestyle accounts, or business-related social media accounts. Ability to write and adapt content in both English and Chinese. Experience reviewing social media analytics and using performance insights to improve content.
