Part‑Time Bilingual Customer Action Representative – Spanish & English – Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Outreach Specialist
About brighthush
brighthush is a forward‑thinking nonprofit dedicated to accelerating an inclusive, clean‑energy economy across the United States. Founded in 2018, we partner with cities, community organizations, and local residents to connect people of color, non‑English speakers, and renters with energy‑saving programs and affordable renewable‑energy solutions. Our mission is simple yet powerful: help families save money, improve indoor air quality, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions while creating new, high‑paying green jobs for under‑represented communities.
At brighthush, we believe that climate justice and economic equity go hand‑in‑hand. Every project we launch is designed to empower the most vulnerable households, ensuring they have access to the tools, knowledge, and support needed to transition to a healthier, more sustainable future. Whether it’s installing insulation, upgrading HVAC systems, or installing solar panels, we guide families through every step of the process—right from the initial call to the final installation.
Role Overview
We are looking for a compassionate, detail‑oriented, fully bilingual Customer Action Representative to serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish‑ and English‑speaking residents in the Merrimack Valley, Framingham, and the broader Massachusetts region. In this part‑time role, you will help families navigate the complex landscape of state and federal energy‑efficiency programs, ensuring they receive the support they need to make their homes healthier, more comfortable, and more affordable.
Key Responsibilities
- Intake & Eligibility Screening: Conduct phone and occasional in‑person intake sessions at our Lawrence office, gathering essential data to determine program eligibility.
- Program Navigation: Explain available rebates, incentives, and financing options to residents, helping them understand how each program can benefit their household.
- Contractor Coordination: Identify, vet, and schedule qualified contractors for no‑cost home energy assessments and subsequent upgrades.
- In‑Home Data Collection: Perform occasional in‑home visits to collect data needed for assessing electrification opportunities and to monitor progress.
- Follow‑Up & Support: Reach out to families after assessments to clarify recommendations, address concerns, and remove barriers to implementing insulation or other upgrades.
- Application Assistance: Guide residents through the application process for rebates, incentives, and financing, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Billing & Invoicing: Manage invoicing for services rendered, maintaining accuracy and timeliness in billing procedures.
- Project Co‑Management: Collaborate with partner organizations and vendors to share updates, resolve issues, and keep projects on schedule.
- Data Management: Maintain organized contact records, partnership data, and program metrics in our CRM system.
- Feedback & Referrals: Solicit feedback from program participants, gather referrals from families, and use insights to improve service delivery.
- Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform additional duties as needed to support program execution and organizational goals.
