Passport Acceptance Agent - Remote

Role Title: Passport Acceptance Agent Role Type: Contractor Location: Remote, United States Time Commitment: 20-30 hours per week, short-term project We are seeking experienced Passport Acceptance Agents to evaluate and improve AI-generated passport guidance. You’ll use your public-facing experience to ensure questions reflect real applicant needs and answers are accurate, complete, and helpful. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

Review sample passport questions for realism and relevance. Develop rubrics covering new applications, renewals, replacements, forms, fees, and processing options. Create evaluation criteria for identity and citizenship documents, photo requirements, and applications for minors. Evaluate AI-generated answers for errors, omissions, and outdated guidance. Provide clear, actionable written feedback to the project team asynchronously.

Required Qualifications

Current or recent Passport Acceptance Agent designation through a post office, county clerk, library, or similar organization. At least 1 year of experience assisting the public with passport applications. Working knowledge of passport forms, fees, identification and citizenship documents, and requirements for minors. Based in the United States. Ability to start quickly and commit 20-30 hours per week. Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience handling lost, stolen, or damaged passports and name changes. Experience creating guides, checklists, or training materials.
