Physics Expert PhD (AMO / Optical Properties of Materials) | US$100–US$200/hour | Remote contractor opportunity with Micro1 Micro1 is seeking physics specialists in atomic, molecular and optical physics and optical material properties to help train AI systems. Work includes assessing ab initio configuration-interaction approaches to atomic polarizability, reviewing Yb-171 and Yb-174 atomic-structure calculations, and explaining sigma and pi spectral transitions. Contributors take part in adaptive spoken AI interviews and should use only legally shareable research examples. Preferred background includes an advanced physics degree (MS, PhD or equivalent experience), relevant quantum-chemistry and configuration-interaction work, expertise with ytterbium atomic calculations and transition identification, and clear scientific writing and speaking. Previous AI experience is not required. Engagement: Part-time independent contractor, fully remote worldwide, with a flexible schedule of 5–10+ hours per week, including after-hours or weekends if needed.
